Do You Need God More Than God Needs You?
As humans, we always find ways to make our lives miserable. But one aspect has been making our lives miserable throughout centuries: God. The existence or non-existence of God has been causing continual conflict over centuries. Until now, the scientists who believe in empirical evidence backed reached haven’t produced an unquestionable theory to disprove the existence of God. And of course, the creationists are led by faith more than reason.
This whole conflict about god became a little more relevant during the COVID-19 pandemic, mostly because of the context revolving around it.
All POWs were shut during the Covid-19 lockdown as they were deemed non-essential. By POW I mean Places Of Worship. But why were such holy places which have been established to protect disciples, deemed non-essential?
An old article by the Washington Post stated that Churches in 2013 made a whopping $82.5 billion annually.
In India, the Tirupati Balaji earns approximately Rupees 3,18,00,000 per day in 2021. And this is along with Covid-19 restrictions that prevent overcrowding. To put that in context, the average per capita income was Rupees 1,26,968 annually.
The pilgrimages in Mecca generated $4 Billion for the Saudi government in 2017.
