One of the most common aspects of our general everyday conversations is salutations. We tend to use the greetings “Hello”, “Good Morning”, “Good Afternoon” and so on. These are some of the most common parts of our daily speech. But consider this, the next time you’re addressing a large gathering of people you don’t start with a salutation. What if you instead showed the crowd your middle finger and shouted the word associated with it? That definitely would seem like a drastic and derogatory way to greet someone. The reactions you get for greeting someone like that will vary from surprise to disgust or even anger. The other person might even give you a similar reply. But one thing is for sure, abusing someone like that definitely garners more attention to you than by greeting someone with a polite and courteous “Hello”

I’ve seen that the world runs in a similar way. Negativity and destruction always seems to garner more attention than positivity and construction. The most common place where I observe this aspect on a daily basis is the media: news channels, movies, songs and any other such forms of mass media. A news channel might get a huge boost in their ratings if they showed a heated debate between two opposing leaders…
