The Price I Pay For Trying To Be A Pariah
If you clicked on my post to read it online, it’s possible only due to one thing: progress. And in this context, it is technological progress that leads to the internet and everything beyond.
Today’s wireless communication is the internet, but a few millennia ago, it was pigeons. If those societies were content with pigeons as communication, you wouldn’t be reading this on a screen.
It’s always a person or a group that wants to improve upon on what is existing, and innovate. It’s always a rebel, the pariah who dares to do something different from the crowd. But this narrative has become so repetitive now that it’s not even interesting anymore(at least to me).
Although the narrative about the pariah of innovation is cliched now, it still holds.
I too wanted to be, and still am, and still aspire to continue, to be a pariah on Medium. I try my best to not write about things that are in vogue. Every author has a niche in what they write. Some are good with their niche and have a wide audience. I don’t have such a wide audience of readers, but I feel the best way to grow strong is to make your niche.
