In some place on the earth, a stage was set up. On this stage, artistes of all kinds are free to come and go. They perform their acts and they get paid. They get paid if a lot of people keep turning up to their acts, and they also get paid for how long they perform, or a better way to say it, they get paid by how long the audience choose to stick around.
Sometimes the artistes get down from the stage and immediately become a member of the audience. The cycle of audience and artistes keep going on.
When the stage was unknown, there were all kinds of eclectic performers bringing on a diverse array of acts. But as the popularity of the stage soared, the performances on the stage changed. The performances during the inception of the stage, couldn’t really be described by a genre. Each artiste brought in a fresh blend of his/her perspective on something, and the stage was never a dull place.
But alas, a time came when a regular artiste of the stage put in a performance that turned out to be very popular “Here is how much monetary benefit I made from my stage performance”
